Hamro Khataa ("we", "our", or "the app") is built to help small shopkeepers
manage their credit and payment records. We respect your privacy and are
committed to protecting your personal data.
1. Information We Collect
Google Account info — your name and email address, collected when you sign in with Google, used only to identify your account.
Business data — customer names, phone numbers, and transaction records you enter into the app.
Device storage — data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and optionally synced to Firebase Firestore for backup.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to provide the app's core functionality:
Authenticate your identity via Google Sign-In
Store and display your customer and transaction records
Back up your data to the cloud so it is available across devices
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
3. Data Storage
Local: SQLite database on your device
Cloud: Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud), secured by Firebase Authentication — only you can access your data
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can permanently
delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app
(Settings → Delete Account) or by visiting our
data deletion page.
After deletion, no data is retained. There is no retention period.
